My creative journey
Before we dive in, you can call me Laykes!
I started my design career in 2015 at a digital agency in South Africa and spent the next decade working across hospitality, education, weddings and everything in between.
These days I run Rae Creative from my home office in Auckland. Flat white in hand. Creative energy in abundance.
After years in the agency world, I realised what I cared about most was the work where I actually knew the person behind the business. The projects where I could build client relationships, understand their goals, hear their worries, and get a sense of who they were trying to reach. That’s the part I wanted more of. So I built a business around it.
Now, I get to work closely with small and medium-sized businesses across New Zealand and Australia, building brands and websites that feel personal because they are. The results are better when it's not just a brief on a screen.
