My creative journey
Before we dive in, you can call me Laykes!
My design journey started back in 2015 when I landed my first role at a digital agency. Over the years, I’ve worked across industries like hospitality, education, and weddings, blending creativity with strategy to deliver designs that truly work.
I’m originally from sunny South Africa but made the move to New Zealand in 2021. These days, you’ll find me working from my cozy little home office, based in Auckland, fuelled by flat whites and surrounded by creative energy.
After years in the fast-paced agency world, I took the leap into freelancing, and I’ve never looked back. It’s given me the freedom to do what I love: building real client relationships and creating purposeful designs.
I launched Rae Creative to collaborate more closely with my clients and push creative boundaries. Now, I get to use everything I’ve learned to craft brands and websites that feel personal, impactful, and built to help businesses grow.
